Five Nights at Freddy's is a frightening and suspenseful game that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat during each of its five levels.

The game centers on the action that takes place behind the scenes of a pizza restaurant that is popular with both kids and their parents. It gives you very little information starting out, but you do get a message from a former security guard who lets you in on what happens at night. Those happy little animatronic characters who delight the kiddies are actually creatures who come to life and attack any humans they encounter. Your goal is to survive the first night and each subsequent night to move on in the game.

While that might sound like an easy task, there are a number of challenges that get in your way. As you play as the restaurant's security guard, you spend the night in the guard room. You must watch 11 different security cameras to see where the characters are in the restaurant. The game asks that you perform certain actions to keep those characters away from you and to get through the night.

As the creatures get closer to the room, you can turn the lights on and off. You can also press a button that automatically closes the door to keep those creatures out. Every time that you turn on the lights or close the door, though, you lose a bit of power. Five Nights at Freddy's only gives you a certain amount of power in each level.

Each level in the game takes place over the course of six hours, but it speeds up that time to make each level run for nine minutes or less in real time. The level ends when you either survive until 6 a.m. the following day or until one of the animatronic creatures attacks you. Though the full game comes with five full nights of gameplay, the trial only includes a single level.

While Five Nights at Freddy's is a little too frightening for younger players, it's perfect for teens and adults who love video games. The jump scenes might even leave you screaming and so excited that you recommend the game to your friends. Download a copy of the game today to see why so many fans love this franchise.
